If you live in Mississippi, then you probably know about the Ross Barnett Reservoir. The Ross Barnett is a 33,000-acre lake that serves as the main source of drinking water for Mississippians, and it’s also one of the most popular vacation and daytrip spots in the state. Located just outside Jackson, it’s the perfect place to bring your boat, camp out, and even hike.
Nothing beats boating on the Ross Barnett Reservoir. Its big size means you have tons of space to explore and miles to drive before you ever have to turn. The Ross Barnett Reservoir also has marinas where you can park your boat, so bring it with you for a long weekend and spend your nights camping in one of the area’s several campgrounds.
Driving a GMC vehicle will get you and your boat to the Ross Barnett with ease. Thanks to their powerful engines with tons of torque, GMC’s lineup of trucks and SUVs are perfect for towing your boat across the state, and with easy towing hookups and features like the rearview camera available on many GMC vehicles, you’ll be amazed at how quickly you can get your boat onto the trailer hitch.

GMC introduced the 2018 Terrain last month, which adds updates to its design, engineering, and interior to create a better driving experience. GMC says the 2018 GMC Terrain design will focus on bold, modern styling that stands out from the compact SUV crowd.
The new Terrain’s design blends an eye-catching exterior with functional accents to reduce noise and improve aerodynamics. Tested in a wind tunnel to determine the perfect shape for quietness and wind resistance, the new Terrain is the perfect SUV for communication and entertainment.
The Terrain’s grille, lighting, and body are sharper and more expertly sculpted, taking cues from GMC’s evolving design language. All 2018 Terrain models come with LED daytime running lights and taillights with optional bifunctional HID headlights.
Exceptional attention to detail make the Terrain look as luxurious as it rides, and that’s before you add on the Denali trim. The Terrain Denali has the signature design features of the Denali line, like the chrome grille, body color fascias, chrome roof rails, and more. The Denali trim will also feature LED headlights and 19-inch wheels.
The interior design reflects the premium feel of the exterior with soft-touch materials, an aluminum trim, and active noise cancellation to further improve the quiet refinement. Keep an eye out for more details surrounding the 2018 Terrain.
